I love music. Correction. I love music from people who have talent and or can produce sound that doesn't suck or sound like shit.
So when I was a kid and was watching PBS with my mom and brother, we discovered this talent named Yanni. Yes, he's considered a New Age artist, but don't think his music is what you would find playing in some feng-shui'ed out, rock garden, bamboo plant reception area of some hip restaurant or spa. His music is a mix of classical, electronic and other world music styles. Sound kinda like a disaster? Well, here are a couple links to some of his live performances which I find attractive to the ear. There are a few WTF moments with some of the musical performers.....these are some talented people.
Yanni: Live at the Acropolis--Acroyali/Standing in Motion
Yanni: Tribute (Live from the Taj Mahal and the Forbidden City)--Renegade
Be sure to pay attention from 6:06 and on... :)
Yanni Live! The Concert Event--Storm
This is a WTF moments. Apparently over 1 million people thought it was a WTF/Holy Cow video too.
Yanni Live! The Concert Event--Playtime
Yanni Live! The Concert Event--World Dance
Yanni Live! The Concert Event--For all Seasons
Pay attention from 5:06 and on....very talented performers. If you think Jazz Flute from Anchor man was cool...check out the harpist at 6:27
More about Yanni
