The Best Purse Organizer--The Purse Pleaser

Continuing on to the body of this post means that you are in agreement that you have read and understand this warning, and you still WANT to continue on at your own will.

So yes, I am finally posting on my purse organizer I ordered a while ago. I wrote a brief comparison in a previous post. If you would like to review it, here it is.
I decided on the Purse Pleaser because it resembles what I had in mind the closest.

So here's what the package looks like:

It's actually a lot smaller than what they show on the website, which is good because on the website, to me, it looks HUGE! But the box is only about 9"X 4.5". So on the backside, as you can see, it gives you some suggestions on what slot is made for what (sorry the photo is blurry, I'm a noob when it comes to digital cameras).

Once you open the box, the thing looks like this:

The "small" is just stacked on top of the "medium" and "large extender." It is not a two layer organizer.

So for my purse I'm using the "medium" with the "large extender".

See the little grooves in the medium sized one? The large extender has a raised corresponding portion that fits into the grooves so you can customize the size of your organizer. The 2nd picture just has the extender stacked underneath the medium sized one.

So here's what my purse usually looks like. I zoomed in on an annoying pocket. See how the lip of the pocket can and usually folds or collapses down? That's my biggest complaint of pockets: fumbling with the opening of the pocket.

So out goes all my stuff. You know I never understood the keyring holder clip thing in purses. I personally don't find it anymore helpful than just throwing my keys in the bottomless pit of my purse. Annoying pockets.....

So here's all my crap and here's a photo of the Purse Pleaser in my bag.

After a little magic. Voilà!
So as you can see, everything can stand up in the Purse Pleaser. There are quite a few cubby holes so I didn't need my cosmetics pouch because all my lip glosses, lipsticks, lotion and mirror have a place. I even have a place for my USB key, hair rubber band and contact case (which I use to hold Advil and Tylenol). My continental wallet doesn't fit in the Purse Pleaser, but since the Purse Pleaser is only 3.5" wide, I still have some space along the sides of my purse where I can place my wallet, mail and or notebook.

Here's a photo of the little drop-down drawer in the "medium" Purse Pleaser.
I usually throw loose change, gum wrappers, or business cards I get in that slot. That trapezoidal shape (by my Listerine mouth freshener) is the chute leading to the drop-down drawer. It's a handy devise, however the only complaint I have is that you have to take the organizer out of your purse if you want to pull the drawer out. But I guess there's not really a way around that, unless you make this part of the Purse Pleaser into a stacking tray design. But that's besides the point.

I've been using this purse pleaser for about a month and I love it.

Does your purse feel heavier with the organizer in your bag?
I haven't exactly placed my purse on a scale with and without the Purse Pleaser to see if my purse is significantly heavier. The past month, I have not noticed my shoulder feeling more weighed down nor have I noticed a significant change in the weight of my purse. So in other words, when I pick my purse up, I don't immediately notice a change in the weight, so that's a good thing. So I do not have any scientific data to say that the change in weight is statistically significant, however I did:
  1. Dump all my stuff in my bag (without the Purse Pleaser)
  2. Lift up my bag
  3. Take awareness of how the purse feels
  4. Place the bag down and dump contents
  5. Place Purse Pleaser in bag
  6. Fill and organize the Purse Pleaser with my personal belongings
  7. Lift up my bag (again)
  8. Take awareness of how the purse feels
After doing that about 3 times I got tired of it because I didn't notice any differences. I do notice however, that my bag feels more evenly distributed and it has better form when it sits on the ground.

What about the Small Purse Pleaser?
The capabilities of the Small Purse Pleaser is pretty explanatory after this post. It has two small sections and a larger expandable section.

Bottom Line: Me likes the Purse Pleaser and I would recommend this to any woman who has a typical shaped purse (I haven't tried it on a hobo, because I do not own one). No need to worry if the plastic will scratch the interior of your purse, because the plastic has finished and smooth edges.

***I was not paid by Purse Pleaser to write this entry. This entry and all comments made of the Purse Pleaser are personal opinions made entirely independent of Purse Pleaser collaboration. In other words, this entry was just me blabbering on and showing off my latest toy.

I was struggling with a disorganized handbag until a girlfriend pointed me to a fantastic little purse organizer called Pursein. For me I needed something to keep all my essentials in place and yet pliable and Pursein does just the trick =D

Excellent number of well sized pockets and I can clip my keys on the front pocket dog clip (finally, I can now always find them). Bought it online at www.pursesitter.com and it arrived nicely wrapped a few days later in the post. If you are struggling to keep items in your handbag organized, give this neat little handbag organizer a try.

I saw that one, but only after I wrote my two entries about the comparison if purse organizers and the Purse Pleaser. I like the functionality of the Pursein, but I was a little turned off about the price of the thing. Granted it is only a few dollars more than the Purse Pleaser, I do like to save anywhere I can. But I found the Purse Pleaser on Ebay for less than the website...darn it, should have checked Ebay.

Angela, thank you for your comment!

While "googling" purse organizers, I ran across your blog and found it very helpful as well as quite entertaining! I have a couple of pocket style organizers which did some organizing, and certainly helped keep the mass of things I like to keep in my purse in some semblance of order. However, most of them collapse over time, they are often too long or short for whichever purse I am using, and everything you want to put into them must be somewhat flat. I did like how they surrounded the inside of your purse, leaving the center open for a wallet that stays pretty easy to find, but they weren't exactly what I was looking for. Your blog on the Purse Pleaser was so great I looked it up and after viewing the video at their site, I purchased one. Since the God's of shipping decided to smile upon me I had just gotten a new handbag and had only just loaded it up. The bag was expensive and is beautiful, but didn't "sit" right. I hate how they always look so upright and neat until you take out all the paper inside and then they are only a sad version of what you bought, or ordered. Five minutes after loading the new purse the mailman dropped off my new Purse Pleaser, so I set to emptying the new bag and reloading it with the Purse Pleaser this time. What a difference! I got far more into the bag than I had the first time (I had decided to give up trying to squeeze in an umbrella and pair of leather gloves). I no longer needed my bulky makeup case and it's so easy to find everything I am really impressed!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I can't decide if I have just found the perfect purse (one of my life's greatest goals), or if all along what I really needed wasn't a collection of purses, but instead the right organizer!
