Power of the President

All this talk about what each presidential candidate is going to do and that for me. It got me wondering...how much power does the president really have! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powers_of_the_President_of_the_United_States#Constraints_on_Presidential_powerCorrect me if I'm wrong but I thought the framers of the constitutions put in something called separation of power or Checks and balances. This way no one branch holds absolute power.

Let see, can he abolish the IRS? Can he give me Universal Health care? (note I didn't include she because hell is going to freeze 1st before I let that crazy bitch become president)Can he get get us out of Iraq immediately. I think we all know the answer to this question. NO. The president can suggest but this ain't Cuba the last time I checked where we bow and cater to the every whim of which ever way the wind is blowing. The great U.S of A. isn't a democracy either. WE talk about it and we defend it but we just don't practice it. We're a Republic. This isn't might isn't right country-check Saudi Arabia-.

We talk about what the president is to be blamed for. Gas prices for instance. We blame G.W. Bush for this. But it never occurred to us to think maybe....just maybe the sinking dollar has some little thing to do with it. Maybe every time the Federal Reserve lowers interest rate the gas prices rises...People the real problem isn't George Bush the real problem is corporate America. If corporate America would raise our salary every year by 3%. Then we wouldn't be having this problem of not being able to feed our kids or go to the dentist. (It use to be making $50,000 was a lot of money but now it's minimum!) People lets stop blaming Bush or whoever and demand that our wages be adjusted for inflation from our employers each and every year! Let see...do I hear any candidate talking about this...right...silence...
